Our Mission

Our mission is to work alongside the ministry Manos de Jesus (Pray America) to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of widows and orphans in the city and surrounding areas of Chichicastenango, Guatemala.  The guiding verse for Manos de Jesus, as well as our Atlanta-based teams, is James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

What We do

  • Share the love of Jesus

  • Distribute hardcopy and solar-powered audio Bibles in the recipients’ native languages (K’iche’ and Spanish)

  • Build and restore homes

  • Assist in feeding programs to ensure widows and children and eating nutritious meals

  • Build bathrooms

  • Provide shoes to the families at home builds and help with campus “shoe giveaways” for children in need

  • Help provide clothing for widows and children

  • Provide clean drinking water through a simple water filtration systems

  • Install efficient wood burning stoves
